How to Use
Normal Mode Operation If you attach and use the mouthpiece provided with the unit, you are operating the device in Normal Mode.
1. Instructions
a) Press the Power Switch to turn the unit on. The cumulative test count will be displayed.
b) Press the Power Switch one more time and you will see the letters in the display, indicating Normal Mode operation. There will be an automatic countdown from to as the unit warms up.
c) Secure your lips around the mouthpiece and blow sharply and steadily into the unit for at about 5 seconds. You will hear two beeps when the device has finished taking the breath sample. You will see the digit moving left to right in the display as the device is analyzing the sample.
d) After analysis is complete, you will see the blood alcohol concentration (BAC) results displayed.
c) The results will be displayed for approximately 15 seconds, after which the unit will shut itself off.
d) If the device cannot take a successful sample, you will see in the display and the unit will shut itself off.

Fast Mode Operation
You can operate the unit in Fast Mode without using a mouthpiece. Tests will be quicker and more convenient, but results will be given in BAC ranges, rather than a numerical reading.
1. Instructions
a) Press the Power Switch to turn unit on. The cumulative test count will be displayed.
b) Press the Power Switch one more time and you will see the letters in the display, indicating Fast Mode operation. There will be an automatic countdown from to as the unit warms up.
b) Blow sharply and steadily into the sensor opening near the top of the unit for at least 5 seconds. You will hear two beeps when the device has finished taking the breath sample. You will see the digit moving left to right in the display as the device is analyzing the sample. After analysis is complete, you will see the blood alcohol concentration (BAC) results displayed.
c) In FAST mode, you can immediately do another test when you see in the display after the unit has shown the measurement for the previous test.
